A Case for Democracy and Balance

If there is a question to what direction we SHOULD be going, the answer is DEMOCRACY. The definition of democracy is a none ending quest. The Constition of the United States is only one step. The future of humanity is a choice. Will the choice be by the many or by the few? Will the choice be contenment or possession (to have, to control), sustainablity or waste, simplicity or complexity, individuality or conformity, cooperation or competition, independence or dependence, Democracy or Autocracy. Make it YOUR choice.

We are two beings, the individual being and the social being. The two can have different needs. When the needs are not in harmony, frustration and anxiety can develop. Democracy’s goal is to find balance. Today, social need is the master of our fate. Unfettered means no restrictions, or rules…do as you please. It is the hallmark of an autocrat, a narcissist.
